Physical Rehabilitation

Chiropractors are experts not only in treating pain, but also its source. We will look for areas of weakness or stiffness that may be adding stress to the places that hurt.  We will treat those areas with certain stretches and exercises to ease pain and help you move better.

Physical rehabilitation shouldn’t hurt and is safe. But because you'll use parts of your body that are injured or have chronic pain, rehabilitation can be challenging. For example, you may feel sore after stretching or doing focused exercises. But there’s a reason for that. Your doctor has a specific plan in mind based on your needs.

Stretching will be gentle, and your doctor will make sure you don’t stretch too far.

Pain relief exercises target areas where you have pain, so you're stronger and more flexible -- which should make it easier to live your life.

Strengthening exercises might use resistance bands or your own body weight (think lunges, squats, and pushups). You may work on your core muscles (belly, glutes, and back), as well as other parts of your body.

These exercises can usually be performed in the comfort of your home and can improve the effectiveness of their spinal correction by as much as 30-50%.
